The DEIB set up the first two spin-off companies of the Politecnico di Milano: Tre (TeleRilevamento Europa) in 2000 and Web Models (now WebRatio) in 2001. Among the spin-off companies in which the Politecnico di Milano has participated, many have been founded by DEIB professors.
