TEDIEL is the Spin-off and Innovative Start-up of the Politecnico founded by Nicola Lusardi, Fabio Garzetti and Angelo Geraci. At the base of TEDIEL is the project of an innovative Time-to-Digital Converter (TDC) entirely developed in FPGA and SoC devices of the latest generation, which provide the system-level integration. The adoption of the SoC innovative technological profile amplifies beyond the state of the art the performance in terms of speed, dynamism, flexibility and adaptability to the specifications of the user and to future changes of technological platform, which are impossible for traditional systems implemented in ASICs. The strong point of TEDIEL TDC is the synergy between hardware and firmware, which allows a continuous increase in performance, also limiting development and production costs and time-to-market. The TEDIEL TDC is therefore placed in the high-tech market, mainly in applications of Smart Mobility, Industry 4.0, Health, Environment.
