Leximore is an innovative start-up born as a spin-off of the Politecnico di Milano, with strong roots in academic research and a significant social impact.
Founded by professionals with backgrounds in neuroscience, linguistics, psychology, and computer science, Leximore develops therapeutic solutions that combine physical and digital tools for language and cognitive rehabilitation.
At the core of its offering is an interactive therapeutic kit designed for speech therapists, neuro and psychomotor therapists in developmental age, educators, caregivers, and psychologists: an integrated system that brings together digital apps, games and physical objects, and professional manuals to make therapy sessions more effective and engaging.
This solution addresses real needs related to language and communication disorders—affecting 5–8% of children in Europe—as well as cognitive difficulties that also impact older adults and people with intellectual disabilities.
The project has already received several recognitions and awards in the academic and innovation fields, including Switch2Product 2022, BiUniCrowd 2023, and first place in the ICT & Services category at Startcup Lombardia 2024.
Leximore represents a concrete example of how the scientific research of the Politecnico di Milano can be transformed into technologies that are truly beneficial to society, providing tools that support both healthcare professionals and individuals and families in their journey toward development and well-being.
