Living and working in buildings creates a significant amounts of waste. SeNSori provides methods and tools to evaluate and improve energy efficiency in buildings.
The goal is optimization of energy consumption in a flexible way considering the system context. The project defines a service-based platform for ambient intelligence able to:

1. monitor energy consumption using sensors,
2. extract knowledge from the integration between the collected data and the external resources (sensors) that provide information about the building context and environment,
3. provide guidelines and/or trigger actions able to improve energy efficiency.

Making people aware about how much energy a system consumes can drive their behaviour within the environment. SeNSori will improve both living and working spaces by providing a way to understand current consumption flows and to influence and optimize them.
