The first edition of the Neuroethics Workshop, organized by the NearLab of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering in collaboration with the META group, will be held on Tuesday, April 11 2023 starting at 2.00 pm at the Politecnico di Milano Leonardo Campus (Room 7.1.1).
The event will begin with a brief presentation of the research activities currently underway at the laboratory, in particular those involving the area of neuroengineering. With a view to a constructive dialogue between human sciences and technical-scientific disciplines, a presentation of the activities of the META group and an introduction to neuroethics by Prof. Sarah Songhorian, researcher in Moral Philosophy at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Vita-Salute San Raffaele University, will follow.
After the introductory remarks, the workshop will get to the heart of the matter with a series of speeches about some of the most important research projects on which NearLab is working on and which concern brain simulation, the use of eXplanable AI – XAI in medical oncology, Digital Health, exoskeletons for disabled people, neuroprostetics and coaching robots for ASD children.
The day will end with a visit to the laboratory and an aperitif.
