Neuromuscular stimulator: RehaStim™, Hasomed GmbH
Description
A neuromuscular stimulator is a device that generates current (or voltage) pulses and deliver it to the tissue by means of a couple of stimulation cables connected to electrodes placed on the target muscle. The stimulators produce a nerve excitation producing a muscular contraction. They are used in rehabilitation. Normally, the stimulation parameters can be modified through the stimulator display or can be controlled by specific PC programmes.
The stimulator RehaStim™ generates current pulses with the following characteristics: Stimulation frequency:0-100 Hz; Pulsewidth: 0-500 μs; Current Amplitude: 0-124 mA.
