ECOTRON will develop new disruptive electronics manufacturing processes, technologies and materials with the ultimate aim to improve the sustainability of functional electronics. More specifically, ECOTRON will advance flexible, organic and printed electronics through a multidisciplinary approach involving bio-based materials, innovative (printing) processes, and device and module dismantling technologies. Not only that, but new recycling technologies will also be developed which will be the basis of a blueprint for a future recycling plant.

ECOTRON is a Horizon Europe project in which the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering participates as a partner together with the Department of Management Engineering and the Department of Chemistry, Materials and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta".
