Alessandro Ilic Mezza was born in Milan in 1992. After obtaining his bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering, he graduated cum laude with a master’s degree in Sound and Music Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2019. During his master’s studies, he spent one year at the Friedrich-Alexander-Universität of Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and completed a research internship at the International Audio Laboratories at the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS where he worked on the recognition of acoustic scenes. He joined the Image and Sound Processing Lab (ISPL) in 2019 as a PhD student.
