Born in Milano, Italy, on 16th April 1951. Master Degree in Electronics Engineering at Politecnico di Milano in 1976.
Full professor of Computer Science at Politecnico di Milano since 2002.
Lecturer of “Artificial Intelligence” and of “Knowledge Engineering” at the School of Industrial and Information Engineering, Politecnico di Milano.
Since the beginning of 2000s he carries out research in the areas of Autonomous Agents and Multiagent Systems (with particular regard to Artificial Institutions and Agent Communication), and of Interpersonal Communication.
He is author or coauthor of about 150 papers, most of which published in international journals, books, and conference proceedings, and of a book published by the MIT Press.
