Davide Zoni is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of Politecnico di Milano, where he received his Master’s Degree in Computer Engineering in 2010 and his Ph.D. in Information Technology in 2014. His research activity focuses, on one hand, on the design of digital computing platforms with an emphasis on the RISC-V architecture and machine learning acceleration, and on the other hand, on electronic design automation (EDA) for both digital and analog domains leveraging artificial intelligence algorithms. He has authored more than 100 scientific publications in international journals and conferences, holds two patents, and co-founded Blue Signals Srl in 2021, a spin-off of Politecnico di Milano. He has participated in several European research projects, serving as local Principal Investigator and Workpackage Leader, and has coordinated research activities in numerous industrial projects. Since September 2025, he has also been the Principal Investigator of the OCTOPUS project, funded by the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR) under the Italian Fund for Applied Science (FISA).
