Prof. SPADACINI GIORDANO
Associate professor
Giordano Spadacini received the M.Sc. (2001) and the Ph.D. (2005) in electrical engineering, summa cum laude, from Politecnico di Milano. He joined the same academic institution as postdoc (2005-07), assistant professor (2007-18), associate professor (from 2018).
His research activity is in the field of Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and includes statistical models for the characterization of interference effects, electromagnetic modeling, lumped- and distributed-parameter circuit modeling, electromagnetic emission and susceptibility of electrical and electronics devices and systems.
He has been involved in many research projects concerning EMC in aerospace (ESA), railways (FS Group), automotive, and in projects supported by the Italian Ministry of University and Research. He was awarded three times the Schulz Prize for the best paper published in the IEEE Transactions on Electromagnetic Compatibility (2005, 2016, 2021) and two best paper awards of international symposiums (APEMC 2015 in Taiwan, APEMC 2018 in Singapore). He is senior member of URSI and IEEE.
