He obtained the BSc (2003) and MSc (2005) degrees in Environmental Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, where he also pursued a PhD in Information Technology (2009). He worked as a post-doc in the Ecohydrology Lab at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (Switzerland) and the Ecology Group at Politecnico di Milano from 2009 to 2017. From 2017 to 2020 he has been an assistant professor at Politecnico di Milano, where at present he holds the position of associate professor of of Ecology. His research interests mainly concern the analysis of spatiotemporal dynamics in ecology and epidemiology by means of mathematical modeling tools.
