Fausto Distante.
Born in 1958, he graduated in Electronic Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano in 1982.
From 1983 to 1992 he was a CNR researcher at the Centro di Studio per l'Ingegneria dei Sistemi per l'Elaborazione delle Informazioni - Dipartimento di Elettronica, Politecnico di Milano.
Since 1992 he has been Associate Professor at the Dipartimento di Elettronica Informazione e Bioingegneria of the Politecnico di Milano.
The main research interests include and have included topics such as: fault tolerant architectures, functional testing of dedicated architectures, design methodologies for reconfigurable architectures, industrial automation embedded systems and in recent years wireless sensor systems distributed in an IoT perspective.
