CRISCUOLO CHIARA
PHD Student in Information Technology
I am 24 and on the 15th of December 2020 I achieved my Master's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at Politecnico di Milano.
My interest turns into the field of Data Science with particular attention to Data Ethics, Data Mining, and Databases.
I am a positive and goal-oriented person that has a strong inclination to pose questions and curiosities, I am fascinated by ethical issues in particular by those related to Computer Science. My master thesis named "Using Functional Dependencies to discover Data Bias" based in the Database and Data Mining areas, focuses on the Data Science Ethics field, in particular, it detects already an existing bias in datasets through Functional Dependencies.
At the moment I am Laboratory Responsible for the laboratory part of the course of Software Engineering and I am a Research Fellow for Health Big Data Project - "Protocollo di intesa con alleanza contro il Cancro". My research activity consists of carrying out the study of ethical issues for health data integration to define access policies that are coherent with privacy constraints.
