Gabriele Cavicchioli (1997) achieved the M. Sc. in Engineering Physics at Politecnico di Milano in 2021 discussing a thesis on the polarization behaviour of thin film lithium niobate waveguides. In February 2022, he started the Ph.D. in Information Technology and now he is working with the Photonic Devices group.
Currently, his research activity is focusing on the application of programmable photonic processors to free space optical communication.
