ERC Consolidator Grant
2014 - IELMINI DANIELE
Daniele Ielmini, a DEIB professor, won for 2015, one of the 5 ERC Grant given to the Politecnico di Milano by the European Research Council.
The ERC is the EU organization that gives GRANT to finance excellent researchers.
Ielmini won with RESCUE - "Resistive-Switch Computing Beyond CMOS".
The project aims to develop a new computer-based nanoelectronic devices for switching resistive, or memristor.
In comparison to the conventional CMOS technology, new computers will be smaller, consume less power and offer greater functionality, such as the human brain's ability to learn and recognize images.
