Isacco Zappa, a PhD graduate in the MeRLIn group, is the first author of a paper that won the Best Paper Award at I-RIM 3D 2025, the 7th edition of the Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Machines. The conference took place in Rome and was attended by more than 150 people.

The award-winning paper, "Robot Programming by Demonstration: Segmentation and Via-Set Optimization," co-authored by Mohammad Hosein Saeidi Mostaghim, Andrea Maria Zanchettin, and Paolo Rocco, proposes an innovative method for robot programming by demonstration. The method improves task programming and adaptive task execution for robots that operate in physical interaction with the environment.

The work was carried out as part of the "ARTO – Automatic Robotic for Testing Optimization" Innovation Agreement project, funded by the Ministry of Industry and Made in Italy.
