GIFT | engineering For sporT for all is among the 7 research projects dedicated to Sport and social inclusion that will be financed this year thanks to 5per1000 funds. All the projects were selected as part of the annual Polisocial Award competition promoted by Polisocial, the social responsibility program of the Politecnico di Milano. The goal of GIFT is to create and experimentally validate new orthoses that allow children with difficulties to practice the sporting activities proposed in the hours of gymnastics and during their free time to promote the possibility of a "SPORT FOR ALL".

Sport has been chosen this year as the key theme of the Polisocial Award for its strong social value: if research in the technological field in fact contributes to making sporting activity a powerful lever for the inclusion of physically disadvantaged subjects, sport is more generally, an extraordinary ground for combating youth problems, promoting dialogue between cultures and promoting the social and environmental redevelopment of neighborhoods, as well as a fundamental theme for the design, recovery and rethinking of equipment and entire parts of the city .
