On March 16th, 2019 the Local Round of EESTech Challenge, an European students' competition, took place at Politecnico di Milano, organized by the students' association MESA. The theme of this year's edition was IoT and Smart Universities. Team TT, composed by Giulia Soresini, Mattia Sanchioni and Pietro Avolio won the first place, having been selected between the 12 competing teams by a jury composed by Professor Luca Reggiani of Politecnico di Milano and experts of the sector. As well as receiving a prize for the Local Round, the team had a chance to take part in the Final Round in Munich, held between the 26th and the 30th of May, where the 14th winning teams from all competing cities had a chance to fight for the podium. Team TT earned the second place, implementing an innovating idea for handling first response to emergencies.
