
Paolo Melillo and Simone Zaffin, Ph.D. students in Information Technology at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, received the Best Presentation Award in two separate sessions of the IEEE Applied Power Electronics Conference and Exposition (APEC 2024), held in Long Beach, California, Feb. 25-29, 2024.
Paolo Melillo was awarded for his paper ‘A Wide Input Voltage Range Buck Converter with Constant-Charge PFM Control’, presented in the session ‘T39 - Digital Controllers & Control ICs’ and co-written with Lorenzo Cremonesi, Mauro Leoncini, Alessandro Gasparini, Salvatore Levantino and Massimo Ghioni.
Simone Zaffin was awarded for the paper ‘A 60 A Switched Tank Converter with Buck-Boost Sigma Regulation for 48 V Bus Down-Conversion’, presented in the session ‘T02 - Resonant DC DC Converters’ and co-written with Alessandro Dago, Mauro Leoncini, Alessandro Gasparini, Osvaldo Zambetti, Salvatore Levantino and Massimo Ghioni.
In both cases, this work was carried out in collaboration with STMicroelectronics as part of the Joint Research Center on Sensor Systems with Advanced Materials (STEAM).
