Founded in 1975, SIRI is a non-profit cultural association that serves as a reference point for those interested in exploring robotics and its applications across various fields of industry and research.
Its members include research institutions, universities, manufacturers, system integrators, and importers operating in the fields of robotics and automation. This diverse network enables SIRI to promote dialogue and the exchange of knowledge between research, industry, and end users.
SIRI works in close collaboration with PubliTec and UCIMU – Sistemi per Produrre (the Association of Italian Manufacturers of Machine Tools, Robots and Automation). Through its partnership with PubliTec, SIRI’s initiatives and news from its members are widely disseminated via the magazine Deformazione. The relationship with UCIMU provides a direct connection to the industrial sector and access to market analysis tools.
SIRI’s organizational structure is designed to ensure active member participation: the Board of Directors, elected every two years by the General Assembly, leads the association’s activities with the support of dedicated interest groups. These groups bring together Manufacturers, System Integrators, Researchers, End Users, Component Suppliers, and Engineering Firms.
SIRI is also a member of the IFR (International Federation of Robotics), the global federation that connects robotics associations from the world’s leading industrialized countries.
