Hao Quan is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Artificial Intelligence and Robotics Laboratory (AIRLab) within the Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria (DEIB) at Politecnico di Milano. He completed his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science at the University of Milan and earned his Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, from Politecnico di Milano in 2023. With several years of experience as a Software Engineer specializing in Microsoft technology stacks at a leading industrial company in Italy, he has developed a robust expertise in software development alongside his academic pursuits. His research focuses on image and video processing techniques, particularly in developing recognition algorithms using advanced Computer Vision and Artificial Intelligence methods. Currently, he is engaged in the EssilorLuxottica Smart Eyewear Lab, a Joint Research Center between EssilorLuxottica and Politecnico di Milano, working to create innovative, lightweight human detection, pose estimation, and action recognition algorithms tailored for smart eyewear.
