Hao Quan is a postdoctoral researcher at the EssilorLuxottica Smart Eyewear Lab, an industrial collaboration between EssilorLuxottica and Politecnico di Milano.

He obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Computer Science from the University of Milan and his PhD in Computer Science and Engineering from Politecnico di Milano in 2023.
He has several years of experience as a Software Engineer in industrial environments, contributing to the development of software systems for major clients, including Pirelli, Leonardo, and STMicroelectronics. This experience has allowed him to develop strong expertise in building software solutions for production systems and complex industrial environments.
His work focuses on the development of deep learning models and computer vision solutions for real-world applications. In particular, he is involved in the design, implementation, and optimization of end-to-end AI systems, including training, evaluation, and deployment, with a focus on deployment on edge and embedded devices.
He is currently developing computer vision and deep learning systems for real-world applications, with a focus on object detection, pose estimation, multimodal data analysis, and image segmentation. His interests include applied artificial intelligence, computer vision, and the development of scalable and efficient solutions for industrial and real-world applications.
