Open Seventeen (O17) Summer Challenge
June 4th, 2020
Abstract
The Open Seventeen (O17) Summer Challenge is a completely online program to reward those who have innovative ideas to develop projects that exploit crowdsourcing and open source solutions to address the 17 United Nations sustainable development goals (OSS). In 2020, the O17 Summer Challenge calls for proposals to face the health crisis caused by Covid 19 and the social, environmental and economic challenges that the world will have to face accordingly.
The competition is open to high school students and college students, who have bold ideas on how to deal with the challenges of the pandemic and post-pandemic with crowdsourcing and open source solutions. Students can register as individuals or in groups (maximum 4 people).
The deadline for applications is June 10, 2020.
This challenge is jointly organized by Citizen Cyberlab of the University of Geneva, CRI of the University of Paris, the Goodwall social network for Gen-Z, the AI for the Good Global Summit and with the support of the Crowd4SDG Project and the Geneva Tsinghua Initiative.
