Abstract
A site to find out how long the line at the supermarket near your home is, or to discover with surprise that the one a few blocks away has no customers waiting. Filaindiana.it is the name of the site conceived and created by five young students of the Politecnico di Milano who in this period of health emergency have decided to put their mind and creativity at the service of the community.
The site is accessible from smartphones (the app will be available in a few weeks) is free and requires the collaboration of users who, while they are in a well-spaced line waiting to go shopping, indicate how many people are in front of them, so as to provide an always updated list avoiding to stretch those snakes that are out of the big distribution every day.
Filaindiana.it currently covers the territory of Milan, the hinterland and the Brianza province, but the team of young engineers hopes to be able to expand it nationally as, unfortunately, Covid-19 has reached all regions.
Just a click on the phone, on your city (the largest divided by neighborhoods) discovering the waiting times for access to the various supermarkets, both to the stores and to the smaller neighborhood ones.
