Prof. Maristella Matera, from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano, has received a Special Recognition from ACM SIGCHI, the leading international community bringing together researchers, professionals, and students active in the field of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).
ACM SIGCHI (Special Interest Group on Computer–Human Interaction) is the global reference point for research and innovation in interactive technologies, promoting the development of human-centered digital systems and fostering dialogue among research, education, and industrial applications.
The recognition was awarded to Professor Matera for her high-impact mentoring in the field of HCI and for her leadership within the HCI community, in Italy and more broadly across the Mediterranean region. In particular, her contribution to the growth of early-career researchers, the promotion of scientific initiatives, and the development of international collaborative networks in Human-Computer Interaction has been especially acknowledged.
