
ENISA, the European Union's Cybersecurity Agency, has confirmed Mario Polino, researcher at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano, as coach of TeamEurope until 2026. This is his third time in this role.
Mario Polino, coach since 2019 of TeamItaly, the Italian national cyberdefender team, will coach the European team, composed of young talents passionate about cybersecurity, representing Europe at the International Cybersecurity Challenge (ICC), organized annually by ENISA. In 2022 and 2023, TeamEurope topped the podium of the international competition and was elected as best cyberdefender team.
TeamEurope, composed of 15 core players, was created to increase the level of cybersecurity knowledge and skills, as well as to promote international collaboration to better address emerging cyber threats. Along with Polino, TeamEurope will be coached by Pedro Miguel dos Santos Alves Madeira Adão, Jan Gocnik, Sanne Maasakkers, and Carlo Polop Martin.
