Gamma-ray Detectors at Meet Me Tonight 2017
September 25th, 2017
Abstract
The low-noise radiation detectors, compliant with strong magnetic fields, developed at DEIB will be present at Meet Me Tonight 2017 on September 29 and 30, 2017 at Giardini Indro Montanelli. Applications will range from health (multimode medical imaging that combines magnetic resonance with single photon emission tomography), industrial security (detection of radioactive sources that are improperly disposed of in metal scrap before fusion by a compact and robust sensor located in the electromagnet of maneuver) and nuclear physics and astronomy.
