
Prof. Maria Prandini from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering – Politecnico di Milano has been honoured as a Milano Ambassador as part of the Milano Ambassador Programme. The recognition, awarded during a ceremony on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Palazzo Giureconsulti, celebrates Prof. Prandini's remarkable contribution to positioning Milan as a premier international destination for high-profile events.
The Milano Ambassador Programme, spearheaded by Milano&Partners in collaboration with YesMilano, recognizes individuals whose dedication and excellence enhance Milan’s reputation as a global hub for congresses, conferences, and international initiatives.
The day began with a roundtable discussion featuring prominent institutional figures, including Fiorenza Lipparini, Director of the Milan & Partners Association; Elena Vasco, Secretary General of the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce; and Martina Riva, Councillor for Sport, Tourism, and Youth Policies. Their remarks provided an insightful overview of the organizational challenges and unique opportunities Milan offers as a host city for international events.
During the event, Prof. Prandini shared her experience in organizing the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, scheduled to take place in Milan from December 16 to 19, 2024. The conference, co-organized with Prof. Luca Zaccarian from the University of Trento, is supported by The Office, with notable contributions from Dr. Rossella Spangaro. Professor Prandini’s presentation underscored Milan's capability to facilitate and host internationally significant scientific events.
