
Prof. Sergio Matteo Savaresi from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering, Politecnico di Milano has received the AEMOB Tech Innovation Excellence Award. The award was presented to him by the Autonomous E-Mobility Forum, from the hands of the Qatar Italian Ambassador, Paolo Toschi, in recognition of the exceptional results obtained in the autonomous mobility sector.
In his keynote lecture at the Autonomous E-Mobility Forum, titled 'Autonomous Driving: The Hidden Enabling Technology for a Sustainable Electrification', Prof. Savaresi presented the work carried out by the Politecnico di Milano research group he leads, including the projects for autonomous driving. More in detail, he focused on 1000 MAD, the first project to test autonomous driving vehicles on public roads in Italy, on a study currently underway on the use of electric self-driving electric cars as an on-demand service conducted in large and medium-sized Italian cities, and on Politecnico di Milano’s activities in the field of Autonomous Motorsport.
