Abstract
On January 17th, 2017 at 5.00 pm, CommTech Talks will take place at DEIB Conference Room.
"Mobile, flexible and always available": these are the features of today's networked society. Worldwide, more and more people use mobile phones, computers and internet-based services to have wireless access to high-definition video and television broadcasts.
5G networks, with their increased capacity, have the potential to link more and more aspects of modern society. 5G networks are expected to be a highly complex mix of software-defined transport, radio and virtualization technologies.
Network designers should let application developers focus on delivering business value quickly, without dealing with the complexity of the underlying technology.
The talk will address how 5G requirements affect the wireless backhauling industry in the strive for higher throughput and improved performance by leveraging the abstraction offered by the software-based network paradigm.
