Abstract

On May 21st, 2026, at 4:15 pm the seminar on "Intelligence Is Not New"  will take place in DEIB “Schiavoni” Room  (Building 20A).

Every new technology arrives sounding unprecedented, and we reach for new mental models to make sense of it. AI is no exception. But intelligence is not new. We have coordinated with minds other than our own for a very long time, and the craft of doing it well predates the technology that now demands it. This talk looks backward to navigate forward, drawing on what we already know about delegation, design, and intent to think about what AI changes and what it leaves alone.
