Abstract

On Monday, March 23rd, 2026 starting at 4.15 pm Alessia Scotti Belli, Co-founder of Paidea Sas, will give a seminar on "Paidea: from the idea to the inclusion" in DEIB “Nicola Schiavoni” Seminar Room (Building 20A).

The session explores the role of Inclusive Digital Technologies in turning accessibility from a theoretical concept into market-ready solutions. Paidea will showcase Speak Up, an app dedicated to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), outlining its current impact and future implementations. The workshop includes a hands-on analysis of accessibility on common web platforms to identify critical "user experience friction points." The meeting will culminate in a Development Challenge: a call to action inviting students to transform emerging insights into concrete prototypes, merging technical expertise with an inclusive vision to create a real-world social impact.

The program include:
  • Introduction to Paidea: from training to R&D
  • Case study: SpeakUp for Yourself – workflow analysis, UX design, live demo, and project roadmap.
  • Critical analysis: accessibility audit of mainstream websites and digital platforms.
  • Paidea hackathons: implementing a Human-Centered and Inclusive Design approach.
  • Development challenge: launching a student challenge to transform ideas into tangible, inclusive prototypes.
  • Q&A
