Politecnico di Milano - Campus Leonardo
Room 3.0.2 (Building 3)
On Friday, July 25, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM, the new edition of the NECST Research Line Fair Event will take place in Politecnico di Milano's Room 3.0.2 (Building 3).
NECSTLab is a research lab where academic teaching and scientific research intersect on a daily basis—both through ongoing activities and a variety of academic and industrial events held throughout the year. Outside of this context, teaching and research are often seen as separate domains, difficult to align in a productive and virtuous cycle. NECSTLab, however, firmly believes that research can greatly benefit from education, and vice versa.
Engaging students in research activities from the early years of their university journey fosters creativity and enriches the brainstorming and ideation phases within research groups. From an educational perspective, involving students in real-world research and development projects means exposing them to concrete design and implementation challenges, promoting a form of learning that is both experiential and transformative—guided by experts through a maieutic approach.
In such a setting, it becomes essential to provide students and researchers with a dynamic environment where they can work together and tackle meaningful challenges. The NECST Research Line Fair Event is one such opportunity: a platform where students showcase their research activities and results to an audience of leading academic and industry representatives, including international stakeholders.
The presentations, led by participants in the innovative teaching and research program LEONARDO, will be organized into several sessions, each aligned with one of the lab's core research areas:
- System Architecture: HW Acceleration and Quantum Computing
- System and Software Design
- Information Technologies for Life Science and Smart Health
- CSI@PoliMi: Creativity, Science and Innovation
