Alessandra Pedrocchi, DEIB Associate Professor, will hold the keynote speech titled “Neuroprostheses and robotics in neurorehabilitation” for the Nature Conference “TECHNOLOGIES FOR NEUROENGINEERING” which will take place online from May 26th to 28th, 2021.
The aim of the event is to bring together experts in neuroscience, materials science and engineering, biomedical engineering and clinical neurology, to stimulate thinking, debate and even spur collaborations that can help advance research in neurotechnologies.
The virtual conference will be focused on exciting advances in the design, implementation and clinical translation of technology for interfacing the central and peripheral nervous systems in the context of human disease and health. The technologies will include implantable (nano)materials, bioelectronics, neuromodulation strategies, neuroprosthetics and brain-machine interfaces, and the discussions will range from concept design to proof-of-concept application to optimization for clinical uses.
