Sensors measure independently the torque produced at the two pedals

Description
The sensors to acquire the torque produced independently on the pedals are based on strain gauges glued to the two cranks of an ergometer. On each crank there are 4 strain gauges configured as a “Full Bridge” (Wheatstone Bridge) in order to maximize the sensitivity and compensate the termic effects. These sensors are used in rehabilitation to measure the symmetry of the cycling movement in neurological patients with hemiparesis.
