Project abstract
The project goal is to define a systematic methodology to write control-oriented simulation models, piecewise linear and lumped, for refrigerators and freezers, and to apply that methodology to a two-compartment machine, employing the so obtained model for the synthesis of an on-off adaptive control scheme for the temperature of both compartments. The modeling methodology has been defined, and a corresponding operational guide has been written; the obtained freezer model has been used to synthesize the control strategy, which has been specified and tested in simulation.
Project results
A patent application has been filed concerning the results of the research, and some scientific papers on the matter have been written.
