The project goal is the definition and implementation of a traffic modelling system, that will be able to:

• produce a long term forecast of the traffic situation, based on the daily and seasonal time trends, on the weather conditions, on the presence of yards, events, …
• produce a short term forecast (1 hour) of the traffic situation: for example to determine a routing model, with periodic adjustment, that supports the dynamics guide of aid means on the basis of the present situation and of the short term traffic forecast;
• produce, timely, an estimation of the immediate traffic situation, relative to a sufficiently meaningful portion of the metropolitan net.

The project is in final testing and acceptance by the customer. A demonstration to the staff of the Agenzia per la Mobilità e l’Ambiente del Comune di Milano has been made and the final product has been delivered and installed.
