Assistant professor
Giorgio Riva was born in Lecco (LC), Italy, on February 6th, 1994. He received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in Automation and Control Engineering with honours from Politecnico di Milano, in 2016 and 2018, respectively. In February 2022, he obtained his Ph.D. degree with honours in Information Technology from Politecnico di Milano, discussing a thesis about estimation and control of tire-road interaction forces for vehicle dynamics control.
After that, he has been a post-doctoral researcher at Politecnico di Milano in collaboration with Brembo S.p.A., working on optimal control strategies and sizing for hybrid energy storage systems in a racing scenario. Currently, he is a Junior Assistant Professor at Dipartimento di Elettronica, Informazione e Bioingegneria of Politecnico di Milano.
