Ignacio Valentin Rubilar Espinoza was born in Rengo (Chile) in 1994. He obtained both his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electronics Engineering from the Politecnico di Milano, where he developed a thesis focused on the design and implementation of a second-order delta-sigma acquisition chain for silicon photoconductors aimed at enabling real-time monitoring of integrated photonic devices.
He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Information Technology (Electronics) at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB), under the supervision of Prof. Giorgio Ferrari, Prof. Marco Sampietro and Prof. Francesco Zanetto. His main research interests
include the design of integrated analog and mixed-signal circuits for the control and reconfiguration of photonic systems.
