Alessandro Barenghi obtained his Ph.D. in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano, Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione, where he is now associate professor of "Computer Security" and "Algoritmi e Principi dell'Informatica".
His research interests include computer security, with a focus on side-channel attacks and post-quantum cryptosystem design and implementation.
His research activity resulted in the publication of more than 90 peer-reviewed papers in international venues. His work on code morphing countermeasures was awarded as one of the "Top Picks in Hardware and Embedded Security" over a period of five years.
