Johanna is a PhD student at Politecnico di Milano with a bachelor’s and master’s in civil engineering from Virginia Tech. Her research focuses on translating hydroclimatic uncertainty into financial risk for large water infrastructure contracts, with the Zambezi hydropower system as a case study.
She is particularly interested in how water bankruptcy can inform long-term planning and climate adaptation.
