MohammadReza Safari is a PhD researcher at Politecnico di Milano, admitted in the 42nd PhD cycle. He received his B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology and his M.Sc. in Cognitive Science from the Institute for Cognitive Science Studies (ICSS). He is a member of the Iranian National Elites Foundation.

His research interests include computational neuroscience, neuroengineering, and cognitive neuroscience. His current research focuses on computational modeling and numerical simulation of ultrasound neuromodulation, particularly the effects of LIFU on brain tissue and neuronal and astrocytic dynamics. His previous work focused on EEG and fNIRS analysis, brain connectivity, and machine learning for cognitive workload and pain assessment.
