Teresa is a cardiologist and postdoctoral researcher at the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering (DEIB) at the Politecnico di Milano, where she is a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow (MSCA-PF). Her research focuses on cardiovascular biomechanics, integrating advanced imaging, computational modeling, and clinical data.
She completed her cardiology training and a fellowship in cardiovascular imaging in Buenos Aires, where she also developed expertise in epidemiology, medical statistics, and mechanical engineering. She holds a PhD in Medicine from the Universidad de Buenos Aires (UBA), during which she conducted part of her research at Sorbonne Université. She was also a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Stanford University, where she further advanced her skills in translational cardiovascular research.
