Federico Schiepatti received his PhD in Human Sciences from the University of Modena (2017) with a thesis in Philosophy of Language. He has worked on the interaction between language and literacy development and learning processes, in the light of an empirically-informed philosophy of language and mind. Previously, he obtained his BA and MA in Philosophy (UCSC, Milano) with a specialization in Philosophy of Language and Epistemology. His research interests lie in epistemology of language, as well as in philosophical aspects of cognitive and neurosciences. He also has interests in connections between philosophy and psychology, with special regard to language and knowledge acquisition processes. His current research tends to face up to new challenges for the organization of knowledge and knowledge dissemination in the digital era, as our society moves from a literacy-based culture to a digital one. Since 2014 he has worked in Milano and in Modena as teaching assistant and exam committee member for the academic courses of Theoretical Philosophy, Philosophy of Language and Epistemology of Human Sciences. Since May 2017 he is a research fellow within the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at POLIMI, where he’s part of a working group for the management of international double degree MSc programmes in the field of Computer Engineering, ICT and Digital Innovation, called upon to develop and operate novel educational methodologies.
