Riccardo Campi is a PhD student in Information Technology at Politecnico di Milano, where he conducts research at the intersection of Explainable AI, Mechanistic Interpretability, Knowledge Graphs, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation. His work spans concept‑based explainability for vision models, sparse and interpretable neural architectures, spectral analysis of LLM behavior, and biomedical AI applications. He has published in venues such as TMLR, CMPB, CVPR, and AAAI, and received the ICML 2026 Gold Reviewer Award for outstanding reviewing contributions. He collaborates with international institutions, including UIC and Xi’an Jiaotong University, and has co-authored publications with MIT researchers.
