CoRiTel is a Research Consortium which was founded in 1994 and is currently composed of two industrial partners - Ericsson Telecomunicazioni and Innovaway - and two universities - University of Salerno and Politecnico di Milano.

CoRiTel mission mainly consists of activities to enable:

• Research Projects: Collaboration between academic and industrial worlds in order to realize common research projects and to allow reciprocal know-how transfer.
• Innovation: Finalization of specific long-medium term activities at the purpose of investigating, evaluating and providing new solutions, methodologies and technologies in the telecommunication network areas.
• Young talents: Opportunities for the young graduates to get research experience in the field of telecommunication networks.
