BASE5G Project
November 26th, 2019

Abstract
The broadband connectivity, low delay and high reliability of 5G technology greatly expands the possibilities of digital application development. The pervasive presence of interconnected devices through 5G Devices technology allows to make social, work, industrial and sports environments increasingly intelligent, with the possibility of rethinking the interaction paradigms between users and services offered. The objective of the BASE5G project is to make this interaction more immediate and automatic by eliminating the smartphone as a mediation tool: the environments (home, car, public spaces, school, office, sports field, etc.) adapt to the end users who "live" them in a certain moment to offer them personalized services. Each scenario assumed will be structured in an integrated manner with respect to 5G technology, defining architectural solutions and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) optimized for the mix of services offered.
