Prof. Nicola Gatti, from the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering at Politecnico di Milano, has been appointed as a member of the AI Act Advisory Forum, the newly established general advisory body that will support the European Commission and the AI Board in the implementation and enforcement of the AI Act.
The Forum brings together 174 members selected from more than 700 applications across civil society, academia and industry, including small and medium-sized enterprises and start-ups. Its members will provide technical expertise and advice on a wide range of issues related to the AI Act, including standardisation and implementation challenges.
Together with the AI Act Scientific Panel, the Advisory Forum will support the Commission’s AI Office and national authorities in applying the new rules. Members will serve a two-year term.
