Once again this year, the AIDA project – Artificial Intelligence Driving Autonomous – from Politecnico di Milano confirmed its presence at the historic 1000 Miglia, participating for the first time in the official parade of the 1000 Miglia Green.
The team took to the road with a fleet consisting of a Maserati GranCabrio Folgore and three Fiat 500e vehicles, all electric and equipped with autonomous driving technology developed by the research group. This presence marks an important step in the experimentation and practical application of autonomous and sustainable mobility solutions.
The three Fiat 500e vehicles represent three dedicated projects aimed at addressing the needs of urban mobility:
- Robo-sharing, a model for autonomous and sustainable car sharing;
- Robo-linking, aimed at connecting strategic hubs to key railway nodes, improving multimodal transportation.
- Robo-caring, designed to support the mobility of vulnerable individuals in small urban centers, where public transportation is limited.
Participation in the 1000 Miglia Green confirms the key role of the AIDA project in the transition toward increasingly electric, autonomous, and shared mobility—transforming cutting-edge research into practical solutions for everyday life in our cities.
