After winning the third edition of the Indy Autonomous Challenge which took place last November at the Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth, the PoliMOVE team, coordinated by Prof. Sergio Savaresi, Chair of the Department of Electronics, Information and Bioengineering of the Politecnico di Milano, got first place in the competition that took place on Saturday, January 7th, 2023 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway in the occasion of the Consumer Electronic Show (CES).
The PoliMOVE team participated in the race with a fully automated Dallara AV-21 “piloted” by AS.CAR.I, the artificial intelligence algorithm for autonomous driving developed by the Politecnico di Milano team. Nine teams from some of the world’s most prestigious universities, including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Technische Universität München, took part in the competition.
